ATTENTION: SOUTH BAY!  

The recently established nonprofit People of Purpose was created to help ex-felons, their families and communities as they return to Palm Beach, Hendry and Okeechobee counties. It is hosting its second annual event Job and BBQ Family Affair in South Bay. The Belle Glade-based nonprofit will have more than 50 companies, government agencies and healthcare providers at the event. Organizations will also be offering diabetes monitoring, HIV screening, and COVID testing. And for any young people who attend, there will also be face painting, bounce houses and hair cuts. Florida Justice Center will be there providing intakes and informational services regarding legal and rights restoration services. The event is free and open to the public. There will also be BBQ!
