Imagine spending years in prison only to come out with thousands of dollars in debt, a suspended driver license, and the inability to find a job that pays a living wage. Unfortunately this is the harsh reality for the 29,000 Floridians released from incarceration each year. To address these barriers to successful community reintegration, Florida Rights Restoration Coalition launched a statewide bus tour. Florida Justice Center is a headline partner at the tour’s three stops in Miami.

Florida Justice Center, the state’s only legal aid organization approved by the Supreme Court to provide criminal legal services, will be joining Florida Rights Restoration Coalition, OIC of South Florida, Miami-Dade County, CareerSource South Florida, and Circle of Brotherhood to provide rights restoration, employment assistance, and driver license reinstatement services at each of the #FreeTheVote Bus Tour stops in Miami.

This event will not only feature services to help returning citizens get back on their feet, it will have music, free food, COVID vaccines, and giveaways.
