Guy Heichman, Banking Executive, Joines Florida Justice Center Board of Directors
Financial expert passionate about justice and policing reform joins leadership team of prominent legal aid organization.
Fort Lauderdale, FL (July 19, 2023) –
Florida Justice Center announced today the addition of Gabriel “Guy” Heichman to its board of directors. Guy is an eminent international banking executive and polyglot who has lived and worked around the world. Guy comes to the Florida Justice Center with a passion for criminal justice reform and the motivation needed to create significant change. Guy fills a longstanding gap in Florida Justice Center’s board that will help the organization grow to be financially sustainable.
Guy Heichman is a financial advisor and licensed stockbroker who has worked for the last 14 years in international private banking in Latin America. He has lived in Israel, Uruguay, Peru, and New York. Guy has been living in Miami since 2019. Guy has also worked in Argentina, Peru, Mexico, and Israel in business development and advisory roles in finance and is fluent in Hebrew, Portuguese, Spanish, and English.
“I joined the Florida Justice Center board of directors after having personally seen and experienced how the lack of access to information, resources, and community affects people who are most in need of representation,” said Guy Heichman. “I’m passionate about criminal justice reform and the need for change in the way law enforcement interacts with communities.”
“While some successful people distance themselves from certain causes, Guy has embraced his role as a voice for change, increasing access to justice, and building equity for marginalized groups. With his knowledge of the financial industry combined with his desire to see real and lasting reform, there is no limit to the things Guy can achieve in his new leadership role with Florida Justice Center,” said FLJC Executive Director Jonathan Bleiweiss.
In his free time, Guy enjoys woodworking, reading, paddleboarding, and going to the gym.
